We offer, on loan free of charge, powered and manual wheelchairs and electric scooters, companion shopping and sighted guide service which are also free of charge.  The long term hire of manual wheelchair is also available - free of charge.

Dial-a-Ride and Ring & Ride Bus Services - both service are

FREE OF CHARGE

Dial-a-Ride and Ring & Ride bus services bring their passengers to Shopmobility in Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and Dunfermline. Dial-a-Ride is a scheduled service which drops passengers off at Shopmobility. If you require Shopmobility equipment, please book it at the same time as booking your seat on this bus.

The Ring & Ride bus can be booked at times to suit your needs and with this service, you also have to make a separate booking by telephoning Shopmobility and booking the equipment you need. 

If you would like to use our companion shopping service, please mention this when you are making your bus journey arrangements.


 

Fife Shopmobility Ltd’s senior staff members are Françoise Milne who is the Co-ordinator and is based at the Kirkcaldy service Tuesday to Friday and at the Glenrothes service on a Monday. Phyllis McIntyre is the Assistant Co-ordinator and is based at the Glenrothes service Monday to Friday.

 Our Senior Support Worker is Janice Leitch who works at the Dunfermline service 5 days a week. Fife Shopmobility’s support workers are; Margaret Horne, Linda Scott and Joe Gardiner, all working between Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy, with Fiona Farrimond, Tanya Murphy and Alison Smith based in the Dunfermline office.  Tom Gibson is based at the Glenrothes service and Jim Jarvie operates the Kirkcaldy service on a Saturday.

FIFE SHOPMOBILITY IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO ESCORT PEOPLE WHO USE A WHEELCHAIR TO DO THEIR SHOPPING.  

All three services in Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and Dunfermline would like to hear from you if you are interested in carrying out this very worthwhile work.  If you can spare a couple of hours and would like to join our team, please contact us for further information. 

We like to look after our volunteers and we hold some social events throughout the year to thank them and recognise their good work.

Travel expenses and on occasion, lunch expenses, are paid when working as a volunteer with Fife Shopmobility.
